TaperLock bushes have taken root as simple shaft-hub connection for standard and series drives. Lütgert provides the full range of drive elements both standard and custom-made.
The elements are available ex stock in standard sizes 1008 to 5050, and
in special sizes 6050 to 10085 in all bore diameters. Versions with inch holes or in alternative materials are also available at short notice.
Benefit from our huge range, our extensive storage warehouse, short-term availability and fast production possibilities for custom-made products from one provider.
The TaperLock system has proven its worth in standard drives where shaft diameters vary and the hubs need to be flexibly adjusted. However, the torque transmission capacity and the stability of the system are limited when the same clamping sleeve is frequently fitted and removed. In this case, the use of clamping sets (friction-fit connections) is the optimal solution. The pulley version with a cylindrical bore and reinforced hub is recommended here.
The standard material is cast iron EN-GJL-200 (GG-20) in accordance with DIN EN 1561.

Flexible Taper-Lock-system
Steel tapered weld-on hubs offer a cost-effective solution for quickly and easily securing rotating components such as sprockets, fan wheels or similar parts to a shaft. The hubs are designed to accommodate standard tapered clamping sleeves.
This system enables a simple, flexible and cost-effective connection between the shaft and the hub. Thanks to the internationally standardised sizes of the taper sleeves, different bore diameters can be accommodated easily and at short notice using suitable stock items.
Taper weld-on hubs are used in mechanical engineering, particularly in steel and welded constructions. For example, in conveyor technology (belt drums or sprocket discs) and in air conditioning and ventilation technology.
The tapered bolt-on hubs made of grey cast iron (EN-GJL-200) are phosphate-coated to improve corrosion protection. They are used when welding is not possible or not permitted. They offer a cost-effective solution for mounting rotating components such as fans, fan wheels or similar parts onto a shaft quickly, easily and reliably. The components can be mounted in both right-hand and left-hand versions.
