Timing belt pulleys / toothed belt pulleys are important drive elements for a slip-free synchronous drive. We produce pulleys for all special and common profiles of leading providers. The scope of supply includes standard bearing plates as well as optimized custom-made products up to 2,000 mm in diameter.
All geometries can be easily produced due to a flexible, model-free moulding process. Timing belt pulleys can be produced from batch sizes larger than 1 piece for urgent replacement parts, prototypes, zero-series models or series according to individual requests or drawings.
Implementation is also possible with alternative materials (EN-GJS, steel,
aluminum, plastic etc.). In close cooperation with the customer we develop the optimal solution
for individual drives. With toothed belt and corresponding timing belt pulleys there are
optimally compatible belt drives available.
With timing belt and corresponding belt sprockets there are optimally compatible belt drives available.

Technically speaking, there is no structural difference between a toothed pulley and a synchronous pulley – in practice, both terms refer to the same component.
Grey cast iron offers good wear resistance and machinability. Particularly in drive systems subject to varying loads, the material reduces vibrations and contributes to smooth operation. Furthermore, grey cast iron is economically well-suited to medium-sized to large components and enables stable geometries even for complex, non-standard shapes.
Grey cast iron discs are frequently used in industrial drives where smooth running, good damping and robust fatigue strength are required – for example, in conveyor technology, packaging machinery, general mechanical engineering applications, and where medium to high torques are required in continuous operation.
To ensure slip-free and low-wear operation, pitch accuracy, concentricity, radial run-out and tooth flank quality are particularly crucial. Even minor deviations can lead to increased belt wear or noise. Precise machining of the toothing and the bore is therefore essential.
Depending on the application, options include cylindrical bores, keyways, clamping hubs or clamping sleeve systems. Customised solutions such as flange mountings, special hubs or pre-prepared interfaces for Taperlock systems can also be provided.
The number of teeth directly affects the smoothness of operation, wear and the service life of the drive. A higher number of teeth ensures more even power transmission and reduces the load on individual teeth. Small pulleys with a low number of teeth allow for compact designs, but result in higher localised loads.
Yes, timing belt pulleys can generally be manufactured entirely to the customer’s drawings or CAD data – including custom profiles, specific pitch sizes, bespoke hub shapes or tailored materials. This also makes it easy to retrofit or optimise existing systems.
